Part E Testing Support

Licence to Alter / Change of Flooring Support
For existing flats, often if you’re looking to change your flooring – for example from carpet to wood, you will often be required to demonstrate that the works won’t adversely affect the sound insulation levels between the flat undergoing works and the flats surrounding them. The requirement is usually to either meet the levels set out in Building Regulations Part E, or to make the sound insulation levels ‘no worse’ than they were before the works took place. The latter can be very difficult, especially where the original flooring is carpeted. Our comprehensive services include:
